BBTB Recap

Last week this time I was getting myself pumped for the first installment of BINACT Brings the Beats aka BBTB. BBTB is the first of many events that focuses on appreciating all aspects of music as an art form. This installment was the kickback; the event to allow you to unwind, be yourself, and listen to music in a fun and comfortable way. I chose Truth of Columbia as the venue because of it's swanky yet intimate nature.

Shoutout to my new favorite Shejay, DJ Massimo. She was the perfect choice for my event. When she mixed Kid Cudi into Isaiah Rashad I knew I chose a winner.

In typical BINACT fashion there were new songs, familiar tunes, and an hour dedicated to local music. It was so refreshing to have an event solely about the music and the people who make it. Don't get me wrong I love a good bar run or club night but it was really fun to chill after class or work, listen to music, and connect with others with like minds.

Don't just take it from me! Here are some comments about BBTB:

Just wanted to say thank you for hosting your event last week - I had a great time! There aren't a lot of events targeted specifically to the black millennial population in Columbia so I appreciate you coming through to fill the void. I'm so excited to see what you have planned for the future! -Kayla Alexander
The experience I had at #BBTB was unlike anything I've ever been to in Columbia. Really chill event that's really there to connect independent artists. I got to hear & link with dope talent from the Met. This could be the start of something big for Columbia. -Goose Rage

Shoutout to the everyone that took the time to come out last week! Thanks for making the first installment of BBTB something special!
